Finally made my way here after having this place in my bookmarks for a few weeks! This establishment is pretty new, so when we walked in, the restaurant was just gorgeous, forest green velvet seating along the walls, and just overall gorgeous ambiance with the center focus being the bar. We met our waitress Hannah, she was just incredible, had all the best recommendations and accommodated our toddler (and even professed love by the end of the night lol!). While we definitely over-ordered for the 2.5 of us, we started with the oyster mushrooms, shrimp toast, and chicken dumplings. The oyster mushrooms were great, and the shrimp toast was *chefs kiss* with the dipping sauce. I thought the chicken dumplings were just ok, but my husband enjoyed them! For mains, we got chow fun, duck fried rice, eggplant, the and crispy garlic chicken. The star of the show for me was the chow fun, but that chicken was BEAUTIFUL. It's amazing how they got the flavour INSIDE the chicken and it just amplified with the crispy skin bite. I was so thoroughly impressed with some dishes, while some were just ~ok~. Overall - definitely worth a visit, and plus points for clean bathrooms, and a fabulous Hannah Hannah - if you read this - baby J definitely asked for you after we left!!

Went here for my birthday dinner with two friends, and it was pleasant. Not the typical vibe, which was unique with great music and nicely crafted cocktails! The peach immortal is a must - but be warned, it's in a VERY small glass. Not the best for my fellow peeps who like more than one drink! Our server was a bit spacey at times but had good conversation. For apps, the shrimp dumplings were tasty! Entrees though are a hit or slight miss - we had the duck fat fried rice (I expected more flavor), the lobster lo mein special (not enough lo mein), and the string beans (more food in comparison to other dishes). I think it is a nice place to go, but hard to come back here often based on the price. All dishes are shareable so be careful before the price sky rockets!!

I think that everyone should try the shrimp toast at the monkey king! This was something I always loved as growing up and getting from Chinese takeout restaurants but the elevated way they are doing this dish here has brought it to a whole new level. I also really enjoyed the fried mushrooms and string beans.

Keep an eye out as you might walk past the restaurant. It's a very cozy yet beautiful place, well decorated too. The service is very friendly and helpful, we were served with great enthusiasm! The food is very flavorful and delicious, a good portion size to share with a small group. It's recommended to eat the dishes with rice though as the flavours may be Strong to eat alone The cocktails were delicious

The food was overall pretty good but not worth the money I believe, especially for vegetarians. the oyster mushrooms were perfectly friend and delicious. The noodles subbed with tofu were fine but not worth $28 at all. The eggplant dish was not mindblowing but tasty. The pandan express drink was amazing though. I would recommend meat eaters to try this place out as there are some cool options but not worth it for non meat eaters.

I originally had a reservation for Sunday night, but they texted me a couple days before saying that they had to cancel because they had a last-minute buyout. Thankfully, it's not hard to get a reservation here! The layout of the restaurant is very interesting. You have to walk through an empty outdoor room, and when you step inside, you see a very cool sunken bar. They had so many interesting cocktails on the menu - I wish I would have gotten one! For the food, we ordered char siu, fried shrimp toast, cumin lamb ribs, double garlic eggplant, and the beef chow fun. This was way too much food for two people - the portions were huge! The char siu was good and came with an interesting sauce. Same with the shrimp toast - I wouldn't have thought to pair it with a coconut curry sauce. I'm taking a star off for a couple of reasons. None of the dishes come with rice, so we ordered a side of jasmine rice, which cost $6. Also, our waitress only offered us still or sparkling water after we sat down. I should've asked for tap, but I just answered still without thinking. I didn't realize we actually ordered a $8 water! I understand this is an upscale Chinese restaurant, but paying that much for rice and water just hurts the asian in me a little bit. Overall, everything tasted really good, but I've had better for cheaper.

Very welcoming and warm as soon as we walked in, we were seated at the bar. Our party was unforgivably late and most places will not seat you until your full party arrive, we were promptly seated. Not only were we seated at the bar but the staff was extremely courteous about the late arrival. They informed us they would have to give away our table and they also informed us how to find another reservation quickly online to meet our late arrivals schedule (that's a first for me). Customer service is peak. It was my birthday (almost, kinda) and the drinks kept flowing. I loved it! This is family style eating, so if you and your party each order one entree, you will receive enough food for the whole table, and it will arrive in rounds. They explain all this to you and I believe it is in the menu. Which was cool because we all had an opportunity to taste one another's food. Scallion Pancakes smelled bright and tasted earthy with a hint of garlic. The shrimp toast was crispy and light. Parking is sketchy, but it's Williamsburg on a Friday night...you already know. Take an Uber. I love the music very contemporary, the hospitality, the food, the soft lightening, and the drinks. Everything here says "relax."

Delicious modernized Asian cuisine infused with Chinese + bengalese cuisine new restaurant! I'd call it a hidden gem! We came here for a bday celeb and we have to do a prefix menu since we had a party of 8+ and I had a bad exp before with these kind of expectations but they exceeded my expectations Here's what we got: - scallion pancake 3/5: no oomph - had better - chicken dumpling 3/5: a little bland but decent dumpling size and meaty - char siu 4.5/5: loved the pork belly take on this - very juicy and ginger scallion sauce was also different - shrimp toast 5/5: this was my abs fave thing - it was unique - never had something like this before and it was like a shrimp toast fry - made me mouth watering - fried oyster mushroom 3.5/5: not sure how I feel about this one - crispy garlic chicken 3.5/5: nothing special about the chicken and hard to eat - the pieces were cut really big - typhoon shelter prawn 2.5/5: overly salty - this must be paired with rice - garlic eggplant 4.5/5: delicious caramelized eggplant - string beans 4.5/5: loved the string beans here - duck fat fried rice: it was good but nothing special
